Tip
CivAssist, CivAll Social’s built-in assistant, lives in the composer’s Guide panel — it suggests templates to start from, flags potential issues as you write, and takes questions in its own Ask CivAssist… box.
Make it your own with custom views
Most of CivAll Social’s tools let you filter a workspace down to exactly what you care about and save that as a custom view you can return to and switch between. You’re not limited to one — keep as many saved views per tool as you need for different functions, like a fast triage view and a separate reporting view, and switch between them as your task changes. Instead of re-applying the same filters every day, you set them once and give each view a name. Here’s how that plays out in each area:
- Planner — save calendar views limited to the accounts a team works on, so it sees just its own schedule instead of the whole organization’s.
- Approvals — filter the queue by account, status, and author to build a view of just the posts you review.
- Feeds — organize feed columns into saved views (tabs) — for example, one view for your owned accounts and another for monitoring a topic or event — each remembering its column layout and Columns/Grid/Waterfall mode.
- Inbox — combine filters (account, content type, read and state, assignment, and sentiment where your organization has it) into a focused view, like “unassigned negative comments on the Parks accounts.”
- Analytics — save named reports with their accounts, columns, and date range. A Custom Report can also be emailed on a schedule.
You can share any view or report you create with everyone in your organization. They can open it but only you can change it. See Saved and shared views.
Tip
A good first step: build one saved view in each tool that matches how you actually work — your department’s calendar, your inbox queue, your monthly report — and you’ll land in the right place every time you open CivAll Social.
