What you can do in CivAll Social
- Publish and schedule posts across all supported networks from a single composer, with a queue, recurring series, and reusable templates — starting from a dashboard that shows your drafts and what went out.
- Plan visually in the Planner — drag and drop to reschedule, schedule straight from the queue, and preview exactly how each post will render.
- Route posts through approval so nothing reaches the public until the right person has signed off.
- Manage engagement in a unified inbox with sentiment analysis, assignment, and moderation tools.
- Monitor feeds from your own accounts, public sources, and RSS — and share content into the composer.
- Report on performance with the Post Analytics table and shareable Custom Reports, which can email themselves on a schedule.
- Hold everything at once with Emergency mode when an incident means nothing scheduled should go out.
Supported networks
CivAll Social supports Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, and Nextdoor. Not every feature is available on every network — where a capability is limited to specific platforms, the relevant article calls it out.
How access is organized
Access is managed at the CivAll platform level, not inside CivAll Social — one account per person, with access granted product by product. Four concepts work together:
| Concept | What it does |
|---|---|
| Product access | Which CivAll products a person can reach at all — CivAll Social, CivAll Sites, CivAll Archive. Each consumes a seat and is set independently. |
| Permission set | The access profile assigned for each product (for example Social Admin, Standard, or View-only). It defines what they can do there. |
| Scope | For each scoped permission, whether it applies to All departments or only the user’s Own department. |
| Department | A platform-wide grouping of people. In CivAll Social, scope resolves to the social accounts sitting in the user’s departments. |
Start with Permission sets explained and Departments explained to understand how these fit together.
Tip
Migrating from Social News Desk? Your connected accounts and users can be carried over during onboarding. Where CivAll Social deliberately behaves differently from SND, this help center notes it so your team isn’t caught off guard.
