Tip
Queue vs. draft: a draft can be unfinished; a queued post cannot. Saving to the queue runs the same validation as scheduling, minus the date and time — accounts must be selected and the content valid for every network. Think of the queue as “done, just needs a slot.”
Add a post to the queue
- Compose your post and select accounts.
- Choose Save to queue in the publishing options and click Finish.
If the post is incomplete, you’ll see the same errors you’d get when scheduling — fix them and try again, or save it as a draft instead.
Work with queued posts
Open the Queue panel in the Planner (it shows a count, e.g. Queue · 10). Cards show the first line, a preview, network icons, the author, and the date added. Posts are ordered oldest first, so older content surfaces before it goes stale. Each card offers:
- Schedule post — opens a date and time picker to place the post on the calendar. You can also drag a queued post onto a calendar day.
- Edit — opens the post in the composer; it returns to the queue when you save.
- Delete queued post (the trash icon) — deletes the post after you confirm with Remove. (Removing deletes it — it does not turn it back into a draft.)
Who can use the queue
You see queued items for accounts you can access. Editing a queued post isn’t limited to its author — anyone with publish rights on all of the post’s accounts can edit it, because the queue is shared team content. Scheduling a post out of the queue also requires publishing rights on all of its accounts.
Warning
The queue is pre-approval territory — saving to the queue never triggers approval. Approval happens when a post is scheduled out of the queue. See Scheduling from the queue.
