Open it
- Click New Post in the Planner header to open the panel with no date set.
- Hover over a day and click New post to start a post scheduled for that day (time defaults to 9:00 AM; in the week view with Show hours on, it uses the hour you clicked).
- Choose Edit Post on a post card to open it in the panel with its content, accounts, and schedule loaded.
What’s in it
Everything you need to compose: account selection, per-network tabs, the character counter, emoji / mention / hashtag tools, media upload with an alt-text field, an add-link field, labels, and Publishing options (Publish immediately, Schedule this post, Schedule recurring post, or Save to queue). For a new post, the Finish button carries out the option you chose; it reads Submit post for approval when the post needs review. Validation, approval routing, and permissions match the full composer exactly.
The one thing the panel leaves out is the live preview. The panel slides in over the right side of the Planner; on a phone, New Post opens the full composer instead. A new post is saved automatically as a draft while you write, so closing the panel doesn’t lose it — find it again under Drafts in the Planner’s side panel.
