Schedule a single post
- In the composer, choose Schedule this post.
- In the panel that expands, pick a date and time. The panel opens on 8:00 AM tomorrow, and the timezone defaults to your browser’s.
- A Suggested times column offers a few popular posting times for the selected day — click one to use it.
- Click Finish to schedule.
Set up a recurring series
- Choose Schedule recurring post in the composer.
- Set a Start Date and Post Time (the time defaults to the top of the next hour; if that’s less than 15 minutes away, it skips to the following hour), then Repeat every Day, Week, or Month.
- For a weekly series, choose one or more weekdays (the caption updates, e.g. “Occurs every Monday”). For monthly, choose a day of the month or an nth-weekday like “2nd Wednesday.”
- Choose when it ends under Repeat until: Forever, an end date, or after a number of posts.
- Click Finish to create the series.
Each occurrence appears as its own item on the calendar, and can be rescheduled, edited, or deleted individually.
Editing a series
- Content edits apply to This occurrence only by default. Switch the toggle to All occurrences to change the whole series.
- Recurrence changes (the pattern itself) are made under All occurrences and always apply to the whole series, which is regenerated.
- Deleting removes just this occurrence unless you check Delete all remaining instances of this post.
- Removing recurrence is allowed and simply ends the series at that point — past and current instances are untouched. (Social News Desk doesn’t allow this.)
Warning
Recurring posts aren’t available for accounts that require approval. If any selected account requires approval and you’re not an approver, Schedule recurring post is disabled.
