Reports are saved, named objects you can revisit, duplicate, and share. Creating one starts by choosing a starting point.
Watch: custom reports
A short walkthrough of custom reports in Analytics. You can also watch it on YouTube.
Create a report
- In Analytics, click Create new report. The Create a new report window opens.
- Pick a starting point: Start from scratch (an empty canvas), Custom Report (the default layout), or a template — Scorecard Report or Video Views Report. You can customize everything afterward.
- The report is created and opens right away, named after the option you picked. A new Custom Report opens on its default layout, covering all the accounts you can access and a Past 30 days period.
- Rename it from the report switcher in the top bar, change the accounts and period with the filters above the report, and use the share control to turn on Share with everyone — otherwise only you can see it.
Post Analytics isn’t created this way. It’s a fixed table you open with View post analytics on the Analytics home screen.
Tip
To reuse a layout you like, duplicate a configured report from the report switcher and adjust it — that’s the quickest way to standardize reporting across accounts.
