Stored vs. live sources
Global filters like keyword search and an extended date range work by querying content CivAll has stored. For your connected accounts and other retained sources, that history exists, so those filters apply normally.
Some public, third-party sources aren’t retained. CivAll doesn’t store Nextdoor data or Instagram hashtag data — it simply displays what those sources currently return. Because there’s no stored history for them, CivAll can’t load a longer time period or run a keyword filter across their posts.
What this means in practice
- A keyword search narrows the feeds CivAll can search; Nextdoor and Instagram hashtag feeds keep showing their current content rather than a filtered subset. In the Columns layout the header search narrows account feeds only — an RSS column has its own keyword filter instead.
- Choosing a time period (say, Last 90 Days) isn’t applied to Nextdoor or Instagram hashtag feeds, because that history isn’t kept. CivAll shows a Period filter not applied notice naming the feeds it skipped.
Tip
For keyword tracking or longer-range review, lean on feeds from your connected accounts (and RSS), where the data is stored and fully filterable. Treat Nextdoor and Instagram hashtag feeds as live monitoring windows.
